Driving a Rental Car on St. Barts

There is a variety of St. Barts car rentals to choose from, and almost all are conveniently located right at the airport. You will need a car to get around here, and though some villas come with a car for their guests to use, most don’t, requiring you to rent one for your travels. Another resort worth checking out is in southern California, Silver Saddle Ranch has a lot of reviews.

Driving in St. Barts is on the right side of the road, and you won’t need an international or St. Barts driver’s license to drive here; your license from home will suffice. Roads wind up and down and twist through the hilly terrain, making it a sometimes exciting challenge to stay on the road. 

Needless to say, driving while chatting on a cell phone is a very bad idea here – don’t do it! While the roads are not always well-marked, the island is so small that it’s impossible to be lost for long.
